Founders

WFPA was established on September 4, 1908 as the Washington Forest Fire Association (WFFA) to help fight forest fires. The four founding members of WFPA were Green Diamond Resource Company, Merrill & Ring, Port Blakely Tree Farms, and Weyerhaeuser Company. They are all still members today as we celebrate our first 100 years of existence. Here are the stories of our founding member companies.
