WFPA - Washington Forest Protection Association

Governmental Relations

The Governmental Relations program represents WFPA and its members' interests before the Legislature, the Executive branch, state agencies and regulatory boards and commissions. This program develops and implements strategic plans to address public policy issues. The program is supported by the Governmental Relations Committee -- comprised primarily of member company in-house and contract lobbyists. This committee monitors and evaluates legislation and governmental actions of importance to forest landowners, participates in the strategic development and implementation process, and both collectively and individually represents WFPA's position in the legislative and governmental arenas.
